Marine gradeStainless & Copper Caps
We pull rusted caps and fit stainless or copper ones sized to the flue, with mesh that keeps out animals and stops sparks.
- Single and multi-flue caps
- Lifetime-grade metals
- Old cap hauled away
Ocean air is hard on chimneys. Galvanized caps rust through in a few seasons, chase covers bleed orange streaks down the stucco, and damp marine mornings eat at crowns and mortar. We swap in parts that last by the beach, repair the masonry, and build the backyard fire features Huntington Beach evenings are made for.

Cheap galvanized mesh turns to rust, the screen opens up, and birds, rain and embers get through.
On 1970s and newer tract homes, a rusting chase cover sheds water into the chase and stains the wall below.
Salt crystals form inside damp brick and push the face off. That's called spalling, and it speeds up once it starts.
The concrete crown takes the most sun, fog and wind. Even small cracks pour rainwater down into the masonry.
Every part we put on a Huntington Beach roof is picked to survive the fog and spray, so you aren't calling us again in three years.

Prefab fireplacesA custom stainless cover with a sloped top and drip edge sends water off the chase instead of into it.
Brick & crownCracked crowns recast with an overhang, spalled bricks swapped, joints repointed, then a breathable sealer that keeps water out but lets the brick dry.
Sweep & inspectA clean flue plus a camera scan before the winter bonfire nights, or before you buy or sell a home.
Gas-ready flueSwitching from wood to gas logs or an insert? We get the firebox, damper and flue ready and line the chimney when the appliance calls for it.
Winter stormsWind-driven rain off the ocean finds every gap. We reflash the chimney and seal the cricket so the ceiling stays dry.
Cool evenings, ocean breeze and friends over. We design and build the masonry that brings the bonfire home, gas or wood, and we repair the ones that have seen better days.
Block or brick, finished in stucco, stone or tile to match the house.
Round or linear pits with a burner, glass or lava rock, and a seat-height ledge.
Block islands with tile or stone tops, room for the grill, a sink and storage.
Leaning or cracked yard walls rebuilt, capped and pillared.
From November through February, South Coast AQMD can call no-burn days for wood fires. Gas logs and inserts aren't affected, so many HB homeowners make the switch.
We sweep, then inspect the firebox, damper and flue to see what the new setup needs.
Vented logs for the look of a real fire, or a sealed insert that actually heats the room.
Firebox repairs, a damper clamp or a stainless liner, and gas line work by a licensed plumber.
We light it, check the draft and show you the controls.

Most builder caps are galvanized steel. Salt in the ocean air wears through the zinc coating, and once the steel underneath is exposed it rusts quickly. Stainless steel or copper holds up far longer near the coast.
Usually the chase cover, the metal lid on top of a framed chimney. When it rusts or sags, water pools, drips down the siding and carries rust with it. A new stainless cover with a sloped top fixes the source.
No. From November through February, South Coast AQMD issues no-burn alerts on days with poor air, and wood fires aren't allowed in the alert area. Gas fireplaces are exempt. Check AQMD's Check Before You Burn page before lighting a wood fire.
Yes. We inspect and repair the firebox and flue, fit a damper clamp or a liner as needed, and install gas logs or an insert. Gas line work is done by a licensed plumber.
Yes, both gas and wood. Some projects need a city permit or HOA approval, and we help you figure that out before work starts.
It runs right through Huntington Beach, so a tall unreinforced brick chimney is worth a look. We look over the brick, joints and roof ties and tell you whether repair, bracing or a shorter rebuild makes sense.
Saturdays, yes, the same 7 AM to 7 PM we keep on weekdays. Sunday the shop is closed.
